Good morning, readers! I have the newest Zoya Matte Velvet Collection for Winter/Holiday 2015 to share with you today! These have gorgeous shimmery flecks that are great as matte but come out to shine with a top coat. I’ll be showing each polish with and without top coat so you can see how versatile the collection is. In case you missed it, check out my Comparison Post between some of these new shades and a handful of the older Matte Velvets. Let’s jump right in!
Zoya Amal
A classic crimson red matte with a ruby red pearl fleck.
I’m showing two easy coats below with and without top coat.
This had the easiest application of the entire collection and I can’t get enough of this red. So so gorgeous.

Zoya Aspen
A sparkling artic white matte with a micronized diamond pearl fleck.
I’m showing four coats below with and without top coat.
Oh man, I wanted to love Aspen. I really did. I still like her, but I am sad it took four coats to even out most of the lighter patches. She will make a gorgeous addition to nail art or even a great base, but I just can’t happily wear her alone.

Zoya Honor
A true emerald green matte with a tone on tone emerald pearl fleck.
I’m showing two coats below with and without top coat.
This had easy application and great coverage.

Zoya Sue
A soft champagne gold matte with a multi-hued oyster shell pearl fleck.
I’m showing four coats below with and without top coat.
While this needed four coats like Aspen, it was only for building up the coverage. I didn’t have uneven lighter patches like with Aspen. This is just sheer, but it has a gorgeous shimmer and I can’t wait to try it as one coat over another color. Just lovely!

Zoya Iris
A deep amethyst matte with a fuchsia pearl fleck.
I’m showing two coats below with and without top coat.
I really like Iris. The flecks are more subtle than some of the others but I enjoyed wearing it.
(Above: no top coat. Below: with top coat.)
Zoya Yves
A deep sapphire matte that’s midway in between indigo and royal blue with a blue pearl fleck.
I’m showing two coats below with and without top coat.
The application on this wasn’t as nice as I expected. Also, I had staining upon removal even with base coat, so be careful.
