Good morning! As promised, I have swatches of the new Paint Box Polish The Knight Bus Collection to share with you today! It’s release day–these release in a few hours at 12 Noon EST! Inspired by The Knight Bus scene in Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban movie (and book), there are 4 new shades with the best HP fan names PLUS an awesome themed new cuticle oil scent! Let’s jump right in!
Paint Box Polish The Knight Bus
A buttery, blue-leaning purple that is a nod to the emergency transport vehicle itself!
I’m showing three thin coats below with top coat.
If you are more generous with your coats, then two would be sufficient. This is one of those awesome purples that cameras want to show more blue than it is in person. I’ve done my best to edit the color on my computer, but keep in mind that it may be a tad different in person. I couldn’t help from painting my very own Knight Bus on my accent nail for these swatches.
Paint Box Polish Won’t The Muggles See Us?
This film is saturated with varying shades of blue and grey. This polish is a nod to that. The palest blue is peppered with grey and violet flakies and highlighted with white and blue flecks.
I’m showing two thicker coats with top coat below.
This is such an awesome neutral polish! The violet flakes sparkle in the direct light more than my lightbox photos are showing.
Paint Box Polish What ‘Choo Fell Over For?
Did you see the beautiful, dark, glistening asphalt that Harry planted his buns on when the Knight Bus appears out of nowhere? My goal was to recreate that in this polish. A dark grey creme base that is packed with white, blue, and purple flecks.
I’m showing three thin coats below with top coat.
The first coat is sheer but it does build nicely. The sheerness lets the flecks shine through gorgeously.
Can we just talk about how awesome the name of this polish is? Haha, too good.
Paint Box Polish The Leaky Cauldron
One of the few places in this film with a warm feel is The Leaky Cauldron. It’s polish is a dusty, warm, dirty orange with linear holo and fiery, copper flecks. Kinda like the tavern itself. (But we took some liberties with the rainbow holo thing).
I’m showing two easy coats below with top coat.
I love the addition of the fiery, copper flecks! I also appreciate the dustiness of this orange–it is perfect for fall and an easier orange shade for me to wear.
In addition to the new 4 polishes, Pam is releasing a Harry Potter inspired Nourishing Cuticle Oil Scent: Pumpkin Juice! I’ll admit that I was like a kid in a candy store as soon as I heard that Pumpkin Juice was coming to a cuticle oil. When I received it, I wasn’t disappointed! The fruity addition to the pumpkin scent is a great combination. Upon application, the fruity half of the scent is strongest. I noticed, however, that the pumpkin scent lingered longer than the fruit once it was absorbed into the skin. The Nourishing Cuticle Oils are available in the brush pen applicators (shown below) and a larger, roller ball container. Pam’s cuticle oils are thin and absorb quickly. I usually keep one in my car or purse so I can use it throughout the day when I’m out and about.
Pumpkin Juice Cuticle Oil
A blend of organic apricot kernel, sweet almond, jojoba, and vitamin E oils. It absorbs quickly and provides exactly the right moisture to strengthen nails, prevent peeling, and add needed flexibility. The scent is a pumpkin-based combination that also refreshing and fruity!
There you have them! Are you as excited as I am? Which polishes are your favorite? The Knight Bus Collection by Paint Box Polish releases TODAY, November 7th at 12Noon EST!
