Good morning, readers! Next week, Elevation Polish will be releasing their newest collection: The Adventures of Marco Polo. Inspired by the Netflix series, there are 7 new polishes, plus a duo with Pahlish. (Also, the collaboration with Pahlish went further, they are both releasing full Marco Polo collections in addition to the duo!). When I received word on the inspiration for the collections, of course I had to start watching the show. We are half way through and I am really liking it! Have you seen it?

I’ll have swatches of the full Elevation Polish collection up tomorrow, but I really wanted to show you this simple nail art I created using some of them. This is an easy dry brush gradient of the metallics in the new collection over one of the gorgeous shimmers! It really reminds me of oriental silk fabric, which is perfect for the theme. Let’s take a look.

Elevation Polish Adventures of Marco Polo Collection Nail Art 2

  • I began with two coats of Elevation Polish Empress Chabi and then I added a coat of Glossy Glam top coat.
  • Next, I wiped most of the polish off the brushes and painted overlapping swipes of Elevation Polish The Latin of 4 Languages, Zhenjin, and Khan of Khans down to the tip of the nail, leaving a space at the cuticle for the base color to show.
  • I did a quick swipe of Empress Chabi overlapping The Latin of 4 Languages in the space at the cuticle to blend better for the gradient.
  • I wasn’t happy with my dry brush at first, the base color was too covered, so I dipped a fan brush in acetone and swiped it side to side across the nails to show more of the base color underneath. This simple step added so much more to the look, definitely give it a try!
  • I finished with another coat of Glossy Glam top coat.

What do you think? I love these 4 colors together and the metallics worked amazingly for this dry brush look! I can’t wait to show you the whole collection, make sure to come back tomorrow for that. Elevation Polish:  The Adventures of Marco Polo Collection releases at elevationpolish.com on August 7th at 9PM Central.
