Groovy Swirls with OPI Color Paints!

Good afternoon, readers! I am really loving my current nail art and had to show you right away! About a month ago, while scrolling Instagram, I came across this mani by @nailsbycambria. Although she used neons, I instantly thought of the OPI Color Paints Collection and knew I had to give it a try when my Color Paints arrived. The time has come, and I am thrilled! KBShimmer Swirls Vinyl Nail Decals made this design super easy and a black top color took the precision out of the color painting step. Let’s take a look and I’ll explain further below.

To begin, I painted 2 coats of OPI Silver Canvas and topped it with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to speed up the drying process.
Once completely dry, I applied a KBShimmer swirl vinyl to each nail, making sure there was a spot where the end overlapped my nail edge for easy removal.
Next, I painted one coat of Funky Fingers Dark Knight over the entire nail.
Before it was able to dry, I used tweezers and removed the vinyl to reveal a silver swirl.
Starting at the center and working outward, I used a nail art brush and the OPI Color Paints to paint small sections of the silver swirls in this order: Purple Perspective, Indigo Motif, Turquoise Aesthetic, Landscape Artist, Primarily Yellow, Chromatic Orange, Magenta Muse, and Pen & Pink.
I didn’t have to be too careful while filling in over the silver because the Color Paints didn’t show over the black. YAY for easy!
Once I was done, I added another coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to seal it all in.

What do you think? Super groovy, right? It was easy enough for a full mani without much effort and I don’t see myself taking them off any time soon! Have you tried the OPI Color Paints yet? I’m really having fun with them so expect more manis in the future.
