Good afternoon, readers! Today is the start of the latest Digit-al Dozen nail art week! The prompt is Whimsy and for Day 1 I have these whimsical neon stripes using some of the Salon Perfect Neon POP! Collection. When I think of “whimsy,” images of Dr. Seuss books and fairy tales come to mind. I have no idea what this week will bring, but I can’t wait to see what everyone does!Whimsical Stripes Nail Art 1

  • I began with one coat of Salon Perfect Sugar Cube. A white creme base helped the neons pop!
  • Then, I just used a striping brush and the following Salon Perfect colors to do wavy lines, side by side: Honeydew, Honey Don’t, Mer-Made of Money, Let’s Not Coral, Back to the Fuchsia, and Purple POP!
  • I topped the nail art with a coat of NYC Grand Central Station to seal in the design, and then with a coat of KBShimmer Oh Matte! to remove the shine.

What do you think of these funky, neon stripes? Do they work for Whimsy Week?

Salon Perfect polishes are available at Walmart stores for $3.98 each and the Neon POP! Collection will be in a promo display until August.

*The polishes in this post were sent for me to review with my honest opinion.
