Good afternoon, readers! It’s Day 2 of Gradient + Week with The Digit-al Dozen and for today’s mani, I’ve added lace stamping. I’ve always loved seeing nail art manis with a gradient and then lace stamping over top in one of the gradient colors, seeming that the lace is just blending into the base color. I just opened an awesome sample package from Salon Perfect with some of the Neon Pop! Colors and this lime green was calling my name. As a bold contrast, I paired it with black.

  • To begin, I painted a base of Salon Perfect Sugar Cube white creme on my nails. I really wanted that lime green to pop in the gradient and this helped! A coat of  Salon Perfect Crystal Clear top coat was used to seal in the white and help with drying time.
  • While it was drying, I painted Liquid Palisade around my nails.
  • For the gradient, I painted large stripes side by side on a makeup sponge of Salon Perfect Oil Slick and Salon Perfect Honeydew, Honey Don’t. I dabbed on the nails, blending the colors together and repeating until the colors were opaque.
  • Then, I stamped the lace image from Bundle Monster plate BM-XL206 with Mundo de Uñas Black stamping polish.
  • I used tweezers to peel up the Liquid Palisade and a cleanup brush with remover to get any leftover polish off of the skin.
  • I sealed everything in with a coat of NYC Grand Central Station quick dry top coat and then a coat of KBShimmer Oh Matte! to remove the shine.

What do you think of this bold look? I can’t decide if I like it or hate it, but I do love the colors side by side. Salon Perfect polishes are available at Walmart stores for $3.98 each and the Neon POP! Collection will be in a promo display until August.

*The polishes in this post were sent for me to review with my honest opinion.
