Good afternoon, readers! I am excited to show you my second mani for The Digit-al Dozen’s Inspired by Pinterest Week! When I first saw this pin of the untitled Lourdes Sanchez watercolor, I knew I wanted it on my nails! I created stamping decals on my ÜberChic ÜberMat for this look and they turned out pretty close to the original. If I’d had a different honeycomb stamp image with less space between the hexagons, it would have worked better but I’m still happy with the outcome! I love the color combo of the hexagons.
- I began by painting a thin coat of Qtica Extending Top Coat on my nail spots on the ÜberMat and letting dry completely.
- Next, I stamped onto the dried top coat with Rica Whiteout and the honeycomb image from Bundle Monster Plate BM-422.
- Next, I used a large dotting tool to fill in the hexagons with the following OPI polishes: A Great Opera-tunity, Worth a Pretty Penne, Love.Angel.Music.Baby, Cute Little Vixen, How Great Is Your Dane?, Dark Side of the Mood, Cement the Deal, and Who Are You Calling Bossy?!?
- While those dried on the mat, I painted my nails with one coat of Rica Whiteout and topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
- I painted a stripe of Girly Bits Border Patrol to help with cleanup.
- When the nails and decals were dry, I added a coat of Qtica Extending Top Coat on one nail at a time, carefully peeled a decal from the mat, flipped it over and applied it to the wet nail.
- I used acetone and a cleanup brush to separate the excess decal from the nail and then I peeled off the Border Patrol.
- A coat of Girly Bits Polish Matte’rs was used on top to seal the decal to the nail and remove shine.

What do you think of this look? I like my interpretation of this painting, but not as much as the original artwork. Check out what the other ladies did for Day 2 below!
