Good afternoon, readers! It’s been a little quiet lately around here on Adventures In Acetone–last week was filled with tons of amazing family time and trips to Universal and Sea World. I can’t get enough of the gorgeous Christmas decorations and music playing around the theme parks this time of year and we are getting use out of our year passes. Unfortunately, that means I’ve cut back a bit on my blogging time. I have a ton of awesome polishes to show you this month and I’m sure we will be seeing some holiday nail art as well–I’m just anticipating a lower post count for the month due to all of the holidays. My husband and I both have birthdays this month, in addition to Christmas, our 10 year wedding anniversary, and new years! I’ll probably be more active on Instagram (@adventuresinacetone) so keep an eye out over there.

In under an hour (2PM EST), Great Lakes Lacquer is releasing their December Limited Edition Duo– These are the Polishes You are Looking For: Droid 1 & 2! I have both for you today just in time for the restock. Let’s take a look and hear what Mariah has to say about the latest duo below!

“As a homage to my Star Wars loving family, I had to do a nod to the new release this month.  I always loved Obi Won and all the cool things he could do, including the Jedi mind trick.  Hopefully, these polishes remind you of those droids that the storm troopers were not looking for.  No fishing or dobbing needed for either of these.”

Great Lakes Lacquer Droid 1
A gold filled glitter topper with three different sizes of gold holo.  1 coat for even coverage or 3-4 for an opaque look.
I’m showing one easy coat below with top coat over OPI Don’t Pretzel My Buttons.
This is very sparkly and applied perfectly without dabbing. You could build it up to wear alone but I loved wearing it over this neutral base.

Great Lakes Lacquer Droid 2
Clear topper with several different shapes of black and white matte glitter as well as two sizes of navy holo hex with a bit of silver shimmer to set it all off and complete it.  1 coat for light coverage and 2 for extra heavy coverage.
I’m showing two coats below with top coat over OPI Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around.
I’m so in love with this base and glitter combo! The shimmer added to the glitter topper makes it extra special and I love the variety of glitter shapes and colors!
