Good afternoon, readers! I have an exciting post for you today! 8 Indie Brands have come together to collaborate on a New Year’s Eve themed box of nail polish, skin care items, and a fragrance oil soap bar. The polishes are exclusive to this box and there will be a 72 hour pre-order window, details at the bottom of this post. Let’s take a look at what ellagee, You Polish, Sweet Heart Polish, Northern Star Polish, Philly Loves Lacquer, 6 Harts, Alter Ego, and Baroness X have in store for you!

ellagee Pink Champagne
A clear based topper with holo, pink, and gold metallic glitters in squares, hexes, and circle shapes.
I’m showing two coats below with top coat over a pink creme base.
This glitter topper spreads very nicely and I didn’t have to dab during application. It’s very sparkly and would look great over a variety of base colors, or could possibly be worn alone built up with more coats. 

Sweet Heart Polish First Night
A clear based topper with silver shimmer, black, silver, and holo glitter in squares, hexes, and star shapes.
I’m showing two coats below with top coat over a gray creme base.
The glitter topper spread very easily and would look great with any base color. The stars are sparse so I didn’t manage to get any on these four fingers, but I did in a nail art mani I will show at the bottom of this post.

Northern Star Polish New Year New Joys
A medium dusty blue creme with holographic pigment and sparse tiny blue glitter.
I’m showing three easy coats below with top coat.
The holo isn’t super strong but it’s definitely there indoors and would probably come out more to play in the sun. 

Philly Loves Lacquer Gold Lang Syne
A gold foil with added gold glitter and holographic sparkle.
I’m showing three coats below with top coat.
The formula is a little thick but easy to work with. There is slight visible nail line on the third coat in certain lighting conditions. I really love how sparkly this gold is and it makes a great accent nail if you don’t want to have a full gold mani.

Baroness X Champagne Room
A sheer, holographic, pale silver with a pink flash and gold holographic glitter.
I’m showing four coats below with top coat.
This would be a great topper if you didn’t want to build it up on it’s own like I have. I really loved wearing this.

Baroness X Matte Cuticle Balm- Berry Bubbly scent
This cuticle balm is in a small tub and smells lovely! It’s firm and you have to rub your finger tip onto it and the body heat melts it a bit so you can apply it to your nails and cuticles. My photo below was right after I used the balm, so you can see that it isn’t very shiny at all. That’s a nice change if you aren’t a fan of shiny cuticles, especially for use before nail photos.

6 Harts Polish Healing Calendula Cuticle Oil- Honey Bee scent
I’m a big fan of the 6 Harts cuticle oils with the doe-foot applicator and this was no exception. The oil is a tad thicker than a lot of cuticle oils in my collection and I love that about it. It feels like it’s more hydrating because of it. One dip of the applicator can get 5-10 nails. The Honey Bee fragrance is mild and definitely makes me think of honey or bees.

Alter Ego Ego Boosts Confetti Creator Soap Bar- Champagne scent
This was my first time using a soap bar from Alter Ego and I think it’s gorgeous! The champagne scent is nice and light. It suds very easily while scrubbing my hands and they don’t feel dried out like with regular soap bars. It’s a great size for hand washing and I find myself using it a lot.

You Polish New Year’s Eve Decals- Silver and Gold
These two sheets of decals are to be applied to the nails like stickers and top coated over. I love the sparkly gold and silver, each sheet has: champagne/wine glasses, party hats, lips, bowties, mustaches, eye masks, stars, and various “2016” numbers for celebrating the new year. They were easy to peel and apply to the nails.

I used all of the polishes as well as the You Polish decals in a quick New Years themed mani below!

• Index: three coats of Northern Star Polish New Year New Joys, topped with silver and gold You Polish Star Decals, and then I lightly painted around the decals with Sweet Heart Polish First Night.
• Middle: three coats of Northern Star Polish New Year New Joys, topped with gold You Polish Champagne Glasses Decals, and then I lightly painted around the decals with Sweet Heart Polish First Night. (Look! I got a star glitter!)
• Ring: four coats of Baroness X Champagne Room, topped with a coat of ellagee Pink Champagne. (Don’t these look awesome paired together?!)
• Pinky: three coats of Philly Loves Lacquer Gold Lang Syne.
• All nails were topped with top coat.
