Good morning, readers! Remember the Great Lakes Lacquer November Limited Editions I showed you last weekend? The duo pairs so well together for accent nails, gradient tips, vinyl/tape manis, etc! I wanted to go a different route in my pairing and decided on a spray marble. A friend told me it’s reminiscent of the photos of Earth from space, and I have to agree!
- I began with two coats of Great Lakes Lacquer Thanksgiving Bay and let dry.
- Next, I filled a shot glass with room temperature water and dropped a few drops of a white creme polish onto the surface of the water.
- Then, I sprayed a few times onto the surface of water with rubbing alcohol. (I just bought a travel spray bottle for a buck and filled it with rubbing alcohol.)
- When I was happy with the pattern of polish, I dipped my finger and cleaned up the excess before pulling it back out of the water.
- I repeated this process for the entire mani and cleaned up any white polish on my cuticles.
- Once the white was dry, I used a detail brush to add Great Lakes Lacquer Freer Sand over the white marble spots.
- KBShimmer Clearly on Top was used to seal in the design and add shine.
What do you think? Does it look like some kind of stone or the Earth from space? I love how the subtle shimmer from Thanksgiving Bay is being accentuated by the details of Freer Sand. The Great Lakes Lacquer November Limited Editions are releasing Oct 31st at 3 PM EST and they will disappear on December 1st at 2 PM EST.
