Good morning, readers! I have an older (from April) collection by Salon Perfect to share with you today. However, the good news is that these have become core colors and you should be able to find all of them at your local Walmart displays. The Salon Perfect Pastels Collection is a rainbow of 6 pastel cremes that go well together–I can’t wait to try them for nail art as a group. For today, however, let’s just take a look at swatches of the colors alone.
These are pastel cremes, and are similar to other pastels in my collection in the way that they all needed three coats for full coverage. The formula is nice and even, I just needed to cover lighter patches with the third coat. That’s very typical of any pastel I’ve tried– so to me, it’s expected and not an issue. However, I wanted you to be able to take note on the collection as a whole before we began. That being said, I was happy that they all dried shiny so I left the top coat out of my swatches and you are seeing them exactly as they apply.
Salon Perfect Put a Ring On It
Pink pastel creme.
I’m showing three coats below without top coat.
Salon Perfect Georgia Peach
A bleached out peach creme.
I’m showing three coats below without top coat.
Salon Perfect Mellow Yellow
A pastel yellow creme.
I’m showing three coats below without top coat.
For some reason, my camera captured this as a bright and bold yellow. I had to edit the photo to better represent the color, so please excuse anything in the photo that looks a little “off.” The polish color itself is appearing correctly.
Salon Perfect Mint Julep
Pastel mint green creme.
I’m showing three coats below without top coat.
This was almost good at 2 coats, but I added a third for a few spots.
Salon Perfect Cold As Ice
Pastel blue creme.
I’m showing three coats below without top coat.
This was the closest to needing only two coats out of the collection, but I added a third for complete coverage.
Salon Perfect Lilacking Control
Pastel lilac crelly.
I am showing three coats below without top coat.
This has a squishy formula, so I’m calling it a crelly (half way between a creme and jelly polish).
What are your thoughts on these Salon Perfect Pastels? Which are your favorites? Do you already have some? I apologize for swatching this collection so much later than the release, but I’m playing catch up on the older collections since I’m new to sharing Salon Perfect with you.
These Salon Perfect polishes are available exclusively at Walmart stores for $3.98 each.
