Hello, everyone! I’ve been toying with the idea of a textured watermarble mani for a month or two but wasn’t happy with my results so far. Today, I saw that my friend Ashley from Smashley Sparkles posted a really awesome watermarble using one of the Zoya Magical Pixie Dusts (ultra texture!) as the base and I had to try it! My previous attempts weren’t textured enough after the thin layer of polish caused by the watermarble, so using the most textured polish I had as a base seemed like the perfect solution!
- I used two coats of Zoya Vega and let it dry completely.
- Then, I did a watermarble using a new Zoya Tickled color, Ling, and Qtica Extending Top Coat (a non fast dry top coat worked best for water marbling).
- Wherever the top coat was in the watermarble, the textured base of Vega showed through on the final mani!
If you are a fan of textured polish and water marbling, this may be a neat idea for you to try, too! Even though I think that Ashley’s mani kicked mine out of the water, I still really like how they turned out! What do you think?
Don’t forget that I plan to have the new Zoya Tickled and Bubbly Collections swatched for you by this weekend so keep checking back to see more of the new colors! Thanks so much for reading!
