Good evening, readers! I wasn’t expecting this post to be so late in the day, but I am such a newbie when it comes to video tutorials (this is my VERY FIRST!) I underestimated how long it would take to combine clips together into one video and save, upload to youtube, etc. But I am finished and I hope it’s not too bad for a first try!
I had a lot of comments on this Lava Flow nail art I posted last week, and even though I wrote out step by step how I created the easy look, I think watching it may make more sense. Here is a refresher of that nail art in case you missed it:
I did each of my nails in the photo above in the same way I am showing in the video below. I just pressed the polish around in different spots and directions for different nails. You can wait longer between layers to get more of a crackled effect and less big ripples, so do it according to your taste!
Thanks so much for reading! I’d love to see if you try this technique so don’t forget to share on my Facebook Page, or tag me on Twitter (@adventinacetone) or Instagram (@adventuresinacetone).

This is literally the coolest thing I have ever seen!
Love this look and the video! You did a great job!!
I love stuff like this! You did a really great job with it, and the video was not bad at all 🙂 I know for the sake of brevity, many people will skip the waiting between layers, but with this one I think it's important to have it in real-time so you know exactly how long to wait between each step for the right effect. One could easily follow along with this video and do their own nails without pausing. So, two magma-tipped thumbs up to you 😉
Great video!! It's cool to hear your voice, too 🙂
Congratulations on your first video! And…this technique is really interesting and the result is amazing! I will definitely try this on my nails 🙂
