Indigo Bananas: Maui, Wednesday, and Low-key Swatches!

Hello, readers! The new indie brand, Indigo Bananas, has been making quite the impression in the nail polish community lately! Andrea has a few glitter polishes and spectraflair top coats, but the majority of her Etsy Shop is filled with gorgeous duochromes in two categories: glass fleck and smooth finish with added holo shimmer. I was so excited to be able to review a few of them for you and decided to put them all in one post so you didn’t have to wait longer to see these beauties!

First up, we have my favorite of the three, Maui. It is a smooth duochrome with added holographic shimmer. Andrea describes it in her Etsy shop as: “Maui is a vibrant teal/blue duochrome / multichrome nail polish with a scattering of holographic glitter, shifting blue, purple, and a reddish plum shade at steep angles (in the sun).” I’m showing three coats below with top coat. It applied easily and the color change was more noticeable in person than my pictures show. The holographic glitters are also more prominant than they are showing up in my lightbox. Such a gorgeous color combination!

Up next, we have Wednesday! This is one of the glass fleck finishes and its gorgeous! It has a darker base with flecks that change from plum to purple, pink, and gold. Super pretty! I’m showing 3 coats with top coat. You could probably get away with only two coats if you are generous. No application issues to report.

Lastly, we have Low-key. This is the same finish as Wednesday, but in green tones. A dark base with glass flecks that change from olive to green and teal. Very cool! 2 coats below with top coat, no issues to report.
