Good morning, readers! I have swatches of the upcoming Great Lakes Lacquer August Limited Editions for today’s post. These three polishes will be available in the Great Lakes Lacquer Shop on August 1st at 3PM EST and will be taken down on September 2nd at 2PM EST. They are a gorgeous trio of color and had great formulas! Let’s take a look.
Great Lakes Lacquer Shells and Sand
A throw to the days of my youth playing in the sand, when every shell I found was special.
A rosy coral with a light linear golden holographic effect with hot pink and peach flecks/micro flake.
I’m showing two easy coats below with top coat for these photos.
The formula was fantastic and it was almost a one coater!
Great Lakes Lacquer The Waters of Torch Lake
Known as the 2nd most beautiful inland lake in the world, we visited Torch last August with it’s purple haze at sunset. This year, I thought we could focus on the water. And what beautiful water it is. If you ever get the chance, you have to visit. Not only is it beautiful, but the area around it is as well.
A light to medium aqua with blue to green shifting shimmer and blue to pink to purple shifting shimmer.
I’m showing two coats below with top coat.
The pink shimmer is more noticeable in person, this is so gorgeous!
Great Lakes Lacquer I Left My Heart In Houghton
I grew up spending my summers and Christmas vacation up at Houghton Lake. It’s where I learned to swim and fish. It’s also the place where I felt most at home.
A very blue leaning light purple with blue sparks and holo micro flakes.
I’m showing two coats below with top coat for these photos.
This one is a tad more sheer, letting the flakes really shine through.
