Dragon Scale Nail Art with Girly Bits Get Weaponized!

In Acrylic Paint, Girly Bits by Jacki2 Comments

Good morning, readers! I recently ordered some more Girly Bits Border Patrol–my favorite latex nail art barrier, and added in some polishes as well! Today’s post features the collaboration polish with Nicole from Nail Polish Wars called Get Weaponized. A stunning teal linear holo with purple and magenta iridescent sparkles, this is beautiful indoors and out. I was feeling the urge to add some nail art over the top, without drawing too much attention away from the base. What better pattern to represent Get Weaponized than dragon scales? I unfortunately didn’t have any stamp images for dragon scales, so I had to use a nail art brush and black acrylic paint to freehand them.

  • I started out with three thin coats of Girly Bits Get Weaponized and let dry.
  • Next, I used my Pure color No. 9 nail art brush and black acrylic craft paint to do freehand scales.
  • Once the paint was dry, I added a coat of Girly Bits What A Rush quick dry top coat to seal it all in and add shine.

Aren’t the sparkles in the macro gorgeous? What do you think of this mani? It was very time consuming but I am really happy with how it turned out. I am going to look into some dragon scale image plates for future ideas. I ended up loving Get Weaponized so much more than I expected!  You can still get this polish from GirlyBitsCosmetics.com.
