Good morning, readers! It’s time for another Swatch Sunday post and I am really excited about today’s polishes! Paint Box Polish is releasing the North Shore Collection next Saturday, June 27th. It’s all about summer, surfing, Hawaii, and fun! There are 5 polishes: 2 with gold holo glitter, 2 with shifting ultra chrome chameleon flakes, and one loaded with white and blue flakes. I showed you a sunset gradient with the collection earlier this week sponged over a white base, so let’s take a look at how pretty they are on their own. Also, below I have info on a new product being offered in the Paint Box Polish shop!

Paint Box Polish North Shore Collection Collage

Paint Box Polish Haleiwa Town
Berry purple jelly packed with gold holo glitter.
I’m showing two easy coats with top coat below. The base is a tiny bit on the thicker side to hold onto the glitter, but it was very easy to apply. The holo gold glitters are insane when you are in the direct light or outside. I’m not usually a huge holo person but these are really awesome.

Paint Box Polish North Shore Shrimp Shack
Coral creme with blue/purple shifting ultra chrome chameleon flakies.
I’m showing two amazing coats below with top coat. This polish is gorgeous. I can’t get over the combination of shifting flakes and the perfect-summer-pedi base color. This is my favorite of the collection!

Paint Box Polish Sunset Beach
Yellow crelly packed with gold/green shifting ultra chrome chameleon flakies.
I’m showing three juicy coats below with top coat. As you can see, there is still visible nail line at 3 coats, so a fourth may cover better. If you would prefer to layer it, I would recommend  a white, nude, or yellow base so you still get the full effect of the color. Yellow isn’t typically my favorite, but this shade is very wearable and the squishiness lets the different colored flakies shine through with such depth.

Paint Box Polish Waimea Waters
Blue green jelly packed with gold holo glitter. Like the sun reflecting off of the water!
I’m showing two coats below with top coat. As with Haleiwa Town, the formula is a tad thick to hold the glitter. However, I had no issues with application. The holo glitter shines through beautifully and you will love being outside while wearing this polish.

Paint Box Polish Blue Above the Bay
A bright blue creme scattered with white and blue flakies.
I’m showing two coats below with top coat. This is my second favorite of the collection, but it’s a close tie for first. The color is just stunning and the flakies add so much more fun to the polish. I had no issues with application and am happy to report that I had no staining when I removed it after a couple of days of wear.Paint Box Polish Blue Above the Bay 2

Paint Box Polish has a new addition to her shop: Mani Fizzes! Pam has teamed up with a local friend/indie polish lover to sell her Mani Fizzes in the Paint Box Polish shop! There are three scents available: Green Tea & Eucalyptus, White Tea & Coconut, and Beach Bum. Beach Bum is shaped like a gingerbread man and smells of suntan lotion. It was designed specifically for this North Shore Collection. The Mani Fizzes contain coconut oil, almond oil, aloe, and vitamin e for moisture.

To use: drop one in a bowl of warm water and soak your hands (or feet) for 10 minutes. Rub hands together and pat dry. Your hands will feel a bit slick at first, but everything will absorb quickly into the skin.

I had the chance to try both the Green Tea & Eucalyptus and Beach Bum Mani Fizzes. In all honesty, it is so hard for me to sit still with my hands in a bowl for ten minutes, but I am glad I did. I think it’s something I should probably do more often than I do. Turn off my “to do list” brain and pamper my hands and nails. I found that I preferred a more shallow bowl so it was mostly my nails and fingers in the soak instead of my entire hands. The oils like to gather on the top of the water so I would rub my hands together throughout that 10 minute session while having them partly out of the water to grab more of the oil.

The scents were nice but not over powering, which I appreciated. I love how they fizz when dropped into the water and my kids are big fans as well. Here are some pictures of the process:
