Good morning, readers! OPI has been popping out collections left and right lately and this is one of the latest sitting in my review pile: Spotlight On Glitter. I’m not huge on glitters lately but some of these aren’t overpowering and are nice to just add a touch of sparkle to your current mani. There are six glitters, one with a tinted jelly base and the other 5 with a clear base. I’ve layered one coat of each of them over a white base so you can see the different glitters easier.

OPI Desperately Seeking Sequins:
This prismatic glitter on a backdrop of shimmer is just what you’re looking for.
One coat with top coat over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.
Very easy formula, this is my favorite of the collection.

OPI Chasing Rainbows:
Your pursuit of gorgeous has won you this rainbow with pot-of-gold highlights.

The larger hexes were slightly curled but top coat smoothed them out to the touch. No formula issues.
This would be perfect for my Poptart Nail Art.

OPI You Pink Too Much:
I’m obsessed with this rosy glitter set in a shimmering base.
One coat with top coat over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.
No formula issues.

OPI I Reached My Gold!
The cache of gold confetti in this clear rainbow glitter is all yours!
One dabbed coat over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.
The extra large hexes slide off the brush and are slightly curling.

OPI Blush Hour:
Sorry, gotta blush… this super dense fuchsia glitter is way too charming.

This is the only polish in the collection with a tinted base. It seems to also have liquid sand bits as well. I am really confused with this polish, to be honest. Not sure why the sand bits are added when it’s a jelly glitter and not a sandy polish. The glitters are very dense and came out easily. This is the glitter I used in my jelly sandwich this past week and I had no issues wearing it that way. This was my favorite color combo of glitters until I realized it had the weird texture so that disappointed me. I think this will wear best over darker colors so you won’t have the shadows from the sand as I did over white.

OPI Rose Of Light:
A million points of light radiate from this rosy gold and rainbow sparkle.
One coat with top coat over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.
No issues with formula.

Well, tell me your thoughts on this collection? Do you have a favorite? Some of these seem to be very close to other glitters from the OPI past, Lisa from Cosmetic Sanctuary did a comparison in her post so go check that out. I have mixed emotions on re-promotes. On one hand, for the avid collector standpoint, you possibly already have the originals. On another hand, I only have one of the previous glitters and like the opportunity to grab from this collection if I missed out on the first time around for a certain glitter. So I guess it just depends on if you have something similar already or not.
Thanks so much for reading! Have a great weekend!
