Press Sample
Good morning, readers! I meant to get this post up on Sunday, but we had a busy and fun family day so I had to push it back to today. Nicole by OPI just released 15 new core colors for 2014! These will be sticking around, unlike the limited edition collections I’ve been showing you lately. Lots of fabulous colors for nail art, and I’ve already shown you one nail art look I created using some of these.
Some needed 2 coats while others needed 3 for full coverage. In no particular order, here are the 15 new shades:
Nicole by OPI Oh That’s Just Grape!
How am I supposed to resist this cool and juicy violet?
Nicole by OPI Something About Spring
When I saw this hot pink, it bloom my mind!
3 coats, no top coat.
Nicole by OPI Emerald Empowered
When I wear this gemstone green, I feel like I can conquer the world!
2 coats, no top coat. Some brushstrokes show but it’s a fabulous duo chrome!
Nicole by OPI Always A Flirt
This luminous fuchsia is more than just a wink of pink.
2 coats, no top coat. There is a gorgeous shimmery flash of pink in the light.
Nicole by OPI I Shop Mintage
A timeless minty green with real retro appeal.
3 coats, no top coat. A bit tricky getting this to even out.
Nicole by OPI At Least I Pink So
I’ve got this pretty bubblegum pink on my mind.
3 coats, no top coat. Another that was hard to even out with full coverage.
Nicole by OPI Taupe Of My Class
This earthy taupe is a real overachiever.
2 coats, no top coat.
Nicole by OPI I’ll Have The Salmon
I’m hooked on this peachy pink!
Nicole by OPI Teal Me Something New
This of-the-moment teal has headline-making style.
2 coats, no top coat.
Nicole by OPI Sweet Surrender
Defeat looks sweet when wearing this pink blush.
3 coats, no top coat. Seems uneven with coverage even at 3 coats.
Nicole by OPI Be Awesome
A rainbow of light that takes your breath away.
Multicolored holo diamond shaped glitter in a clear base. I had to dab these on because the base to glitter ratio is too high. Really pretty glitter though. Shown with top coat over I Shop Mintage.
Nicole by OPI This Blue Is So You!
This dramatically dark blue was created with you in mind.
Nicole by OPI That’s Putting It Mild
This luscious, creamy nude makes a big fashion statement.
Nicole by OPI Yoga-then-Yogurt
Oh my! This creamy white is quite yummy!
3 coats, no top coat. This white is just a touch off white to be less stark than pure white. Really reminds me of vanilla yogurt!
Nicole by OPI Fabulous Is My Middle Name
Pink and silver super shimmer is my game.
1 coat over Sweet Surrender with top coat. Great coverage and application.
And because you know how much I love comparing colors in the same collection, here are two comparisons. One is the “pinks” and one is the “neutrals.”
There you go! Which are your favorites? They may not be super unique, but I really like them and know I’ll use a bunch for nail art or as bases for glitters! My top favorites are: Teal Me Something New, I Shop Mintage, Oh That’s Just Grape!, I’ll Have The Salmon, Yoga-then-Yogurt, and Be Awesome! Thanks so much for reading!

I really love Be Awesome and Fabulous Is My Middle Name. They are super pretty!
These are some beautiful colors in this collection! loved it!
I love your swatches! Emerald Empowered is gorgeous!
can you tell me what "Press Sample" means? Thanks. Beautiful swatches. I just bought the Be Awesome and I love it.
I really don't think I'll get any of these. Many of the creme shades look ordinary and the bar glitter mix definitely has been released before (maybe in a slight variation, plus I don't remember the name now 🙁 ). Anyway your swatches are great!! Thanks for sharing!
