My First Franken!!

In China Glaze, Nails, Sally Hansen, Wet n Wild by Jacki12 Comments

I was bored today and swatched a few new colors for future blog posts, but then I started thinking I wanted to try to “franken” my own color. I keep seeing them from other bloggers and figured it wasn’t that hard. I basically decided I wanted a light purple with a couple of different glitters and just added bit by bit to get this color. 🙂 I’m not sure I actually like this color with my skin tone and may try to add something else to it at another time to make it more flattering. Anyway, on to the pictures!

This was one coat. I knew I’d be adding at least another coat but figured I’d show you.

This is two coats. I like this much better and didn’t feel the need to do a 3rd coat.

Pretty glitters, right?(this was also just 2 coats)
L to R: China Glaze Spontaneous, Wet n Wild Sparked, Wet n Wild Party of Five Glitters,*my franken in the middle*, China Glaze Fairy Dust, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On, and the random top coat I got with my set of polishes from Kohl’s.
These are the different colors I mixed in to make it. No idea how much of each because I just added a bit at a time. 🙂
I haven’t picked a name yet, but I am happy with my first try of frankening. What do you think? Thanks for reading!

I'm reading this as I sit taking off a pink version…I was wanting DL Candy Shop so I made a sorta-version of it by adding 6 drops of SH Cardinal and a glug of white to a bottle of NYC Starry Silver Glitter. I love it SO MUCH…love your lavender version!

@Shieldmaiden96, I think your post inspired mine! And thank you! I can see myself doing this a lot more now!

This reminds me if Deborah Lippmann made Glitter in the Air/Happy Birthday/Candy Shop in purple = I LOVE IT. 🙂
