Good evening, readers! I have some exciting new colors and nail art kits to share with you from Cirque Colors for the latest Nordstrom Pop-In, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Vans shoes! Here is a little info for you on the collection:
Nordstrom’s latest monthly pop-in celebrates the 50th anniversary of Vans, the California skateboarding and lifestyle shoe company. Vans has ridden a unique wave from street, sport and music subcultures to high-fashion runways—and remains the individualist’s sneaker of choice. Inspired by the brand’s bold colorways and iconic patterns, we developed 3 exclusive shades in a range of primary hues and 3 nail art kits to bring out the inner skater in you. Introducing Cirque Color’s exclusive collection for the Nordstrom x Vans Pop-In”
Before we get to the nail art kits, let’s check out the gorgeous new exclusive shades!
Cirque Colors Wall Ride
A primary red with holographic flakes.
I’m showing two coats below with top coat.
This is such a gorgeous red and it applied very easily.
Cirque Colors Counterculture
A sunflower yellow creme.
I’m showing two coats below with top coat.
This had very minimal streaking during application, which is great for a yellow creme.
Cirque Colors Shred the Gnar
A blue-black with holographic flakes.
I’m showing two coats below with top coat.
This is another stunning shade with those gorgeous flakes to add sparkle and dimension.
As for the nail art kits, each box set comes with two polishes and vinyl stencils.
Cirque Colors Stripe Stencil Kit
Cirque Colors Skate Date
Nordstrom exclusive light pink creme.
I’m showing two coats below with top coat.
This pink had better coverage than I was expecting!
Cirque Colors Big Wave
Nordstrom exclusive light blue creme.
I’m showing two coats below with top coat.
Included in the Stripe Stencil Kit, along with those two shades, are a ton of vinyl stripes. To create the look below: I applied the stripes horizontally along the nails over Skate Date, and then painted Big Wave over the nails. I carefully peeled the vinyls back up while the blue polish was still wet, and then added top coat. The vinyls were long, so I was able to cut them in half or in thirds to keep from wasting excess.
Cirque Colors Checkerboard Stencil Kit
Cirque Colors Carpe Diem
White creme with very subtle shimmer.
I’m showing two coats below with top coat.
I swear I noticed the faintest shimmer in the bottle but now that I see my pictures, I’m not quite sure if I’m losing my mind or not. A nice white creme with good coverage.
Cirque Colors Memento Mori
A black creme.
I’m showing ONE coat below with top coat. This black has great coverage without having a thick formula.
Included in the Checkerboard Stencil Kit, along with those two shades, are 12 checkerboard vinyls. The vinyls are large enough that for some nails, I was able to cut them in half and use the other half on another nail. To create the look below: I applied the checkerboard stencils onto the nails over Carpe Diem, and then painted Memento Mori over the nails. I carefully peeled the vinyls back up while the black polish was still wet, and then added top coat.
Cirque Colors Hawaiian Stencil Kit
Cirque Colors Rouge Rockefeller
Burgundy crelly.
I’m showing two coats below with top coat.
This has a squishy formula, between a jelly and a creme and applies evenly.
Cirque Colors Midnight Cowboy
Navy blue crelly.
I’m showing two coats below with top coat.
This, like Rouge Rockefeller, has a formula between a creme and a jelly.
Included in the Hawaiian Stencil Kit, along with those two shades, are 12 floral vinyls. There are two different designs, with 6 of each flower. To create the look below: I applied the Hawaiian flower stencils onto the nails over Rouge Rockefeller (making sure to have part of the flowers hanging off of the nail edge so I could remove them), and then painted Midnight Cowboy over the nails. I carefully peeled the vinyls back up while the navy polish was still wet, and then added top coat. I used tweezers to remove the vinyls, because the flowers were so thin.
What do you think of this fun new collection? I love Vans and Cirque Colors, so it was an exciting pairing for me! There are a ton of funky shoe designs available right now for the 50th Anniversary so I am going to try to recreate some of them with these sets! The three exclusive individual shades retail for $13 each, and each nail art kit is $28.
