Swatch Saturday: Great Lakes Lacquer Doctor’s Orders Collection for Winter 2015.

Good morning, readers! I have an excited new collection to share with you today from Great Lakes Lacquer. Inspired by quotes from Dr. Seuss and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, the Doctor’s Orders Collection launches on December 11th at 3pm EST. 7 gorgeous polishes and I can’t get over how perfect the names are. Let’s take a look!

Great Lakes Lacquer Only Love Can Do That
From Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. “Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that.  Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”
A silvery white, like fresh snow in moonlight.  This dances with the addition of rainbow flake and a linear holographic affect.
I’m showing three coats below with top coat.
In person, I was able to see the rainbow flakes but they seem to be lost in my photos.

Great Lakes Lacquer Don’t Give Up
From Dr. Seuss and Horton Hears a Who. “Don’t give up!  I believe in you all.  A person’s a person, no matter how small!”
A peachy pink warm nude with copper shimmer running throughout.

Great Lakes Lacquer Those Who Matter
From Dr. Seuss.  “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.”
A deep cranberry red with royal purple shimmer and a linear holographic affect.
I’m showing three coats below with top coat. Two were almost enough, but I had some lighter patches due to thinner coats during application.
Gorgeous, right? I really love this polish.
Great Lakes Lacquer Unless
From Dr. Suess and The Lorax. “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better.  It’s not.”
A deep, emerald green ablaze with gold shimmer of three different kinds with the addition of sparse copper holo microglitter.
I’m showing two coats below with top coat.
Talk about holiday green bling! I am happy to report that I had no staining upon removal.

Great Lakes Lacquer Infinite Hope
From Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  “We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.”
A dark sapphire blue with blue to pink shimmer, neon purple micro flake, and silver scattered holo.
I’m showing three jelly coats below with top coat.
I’m happy to report that there was no staining upon removal.

Great Lakes Lacquer Silence
From Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. “In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”
A blue leaning gray with shimmer that shifts from a violet red to blue and bronze flake for accent.
I’m showing three coats below with top coat.
This is such a cool polish, and I think very different than others in my collection.

Great Lakes Lacquer Youer Than You
From Dr. Seuss and Happy Birthday to You.  “Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you.”
A blue leaning medium purple jelly with mint and purple shimmer and aqua shifting to green flake.
I’m showing three coats below with top coat.
Here it is: hands down my very favorite in the collection. I had to use it in my current pedicure after swatching because I loved it so much. Quite difficult to photograph as most blurples are, all of my photos showed blue so I edited them as well as I could to make it look more true to the purple I see in person. Swatches will probably vary among us with different lighting and cameras.
