I didn’t have time to change my nails for today, so I looked through my archive of un-posted manis and came across this one. I had such high hopes for using all of the new OPI Neons in a tribal print, but when I left out black, it didn’t pop as I’d hoped. I won’t make that mistake again.
I started out with a couple coats of the white base coat that came with the OPI Neons Collection: OPI Put A Coat On! Then, using a detail brush and dotting tools, I did different tribal patterns using the Neons! Seche Vite was used as a top coat.
What do you think? Can you see why I’ve waited a while to post? Thanks so much for reading!
Neons by OPI will also be available in GelColor, marking the launch of OPI’s first neon gel shades. GelColor is a professional salon service that offers a high-shine, 100% gel finish that lasts for weeks with a 30 second LED cure.
“If you’re planning a summer vacation, try a GelColor manicure or pedicure,” said Weiss-Fischmann. “Not only will your neon nails look fabulous, they’ll remain chip-free and flawless while you’re having fun in the sun.”
Neons by OPI will be available in both nail lacquer and GelColor (for professionals only) formulas beginning May 2014. Nail lacquer shades each feature OPI’s exclusive ProWide™ Brush for the ultimate in application and will retail for $9.00 ($10.95 CAN) at Professional Salons, including Amazon, Beauty Brands, beautybrands.com, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, jcp Salons, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, ULTA and ulta.com. GelColor is an in-salon, professional service only. Prices depend on the salon and range from $28 – $38 for a manicure and $35 – $45 for a pedicure.

I can see why you don't like these, but at the same time I love them! The lack of bold dark colors makes this pretty unique for a tribal, and looks very fresh. 🙂
I still really like these without black added. They look fun!
I understand the feeling of not liking a manicure if it doesn't fit to the picture in one's head of how it is supposed to look. But imagine this being an easter manicure, you'd be spot on! 🙂
PS: I still really like the OPI neons. I think this color combination as a watercolor manicure would be dreamily pretty.
fail my ass lol xx
they look like Easter eggs 🙂
